PPC landing page best practices

This lesson covers

  • What message match is and why it matters
  • The parts of a landing page that converts
  • How to check mobile speed and your form

Short answer

A PPC landing page is the page people reach after clicking your ad. It should repeat the ad's offer, load fast on mobile, and make one action easy, like a call, message, or short form. Strong message match and a clear call to action raise your conversion rate and lower your cost per lead.

This lesson is about turning paid clicks into customers. For ranking a page in organic search, see our SEO for Beginners course.

Message match

Message match means the landing page says what the ad said.

Message match: the ad promise repeated on the landing page versus a generic homepageAd₱499 WindowAircon Cleaning QCService page₱499 Window AirconCleaning, Quezon CityHomepageWelcome to ourcompany!
Send each click to a page that repeats the ad’s promise.

Ad: “₱499 Window Aircon Cleaning in QC.” Landing page headline: “₱499 Window Aircon Cleaning, Quezon City.” That is a match. Sending that click to a homepage about all your services is a mismatch. People leave.

Parts of a page that converts

  1. Headline that matches the ad and keyword.
  2. Offer and price visible without scrolling.
  3. Proof: reviews, photos of real work, or client logos.
  4. One main action: a call button, a Messenger or Viber button, or a form.
  5. Short form: name, phone number, and one question. Every extra field lowers sign-ups.
  6. Trust details: address, business hours, and payment options like GCash or bank transfer.

Mobile speed

Most Philippine searches happen on phones, often on mobile data. A slow page loses clicks you already paid for.

  • Test your page with Google PageSpeed Insights.
  • Compress images and avoid heavy sliders or videos at the top.
  • Make buttons big enough to tap.

For deeper technical checks, our SEO course covers page speed, and SiteAuditLint can scan your page.

Common mistakes

  • Sending all ads to the homepage. Use the most relevant page for each ad group.
  • Long forms. Ask only what you need to follow up.
  • Hiding the phone number. Many Filipino customers prefer to call or message.
  • Desktop-only design. Check every page on your own phone.

Your action

Open your landing page on your phone using mobile data. Time how long it takes to load, and check that the headline matches your ad.
